Apple World Today regularly publishes a list of notable new apps or app updates released. Maybe they're not new, but they're popular and deserve to be mentioned. Here are the picks of this week.
macOS Apps/Updates
Groosoft has rolled out Translate Box 1.0.1, a translation comparison and management app for the Mac.
The software displays simultaneously translation results from several translation services to provide optimum translations. In addition, all translation content can be tabulated and managed systematically. To create new translations, users can add new boxes and create well-organized documents in table form as boxes stack.
Translate Box 1.0.1 costs $4.99 and requires macOS 10.13 or higher. It’s available exclusively at the Mac App Store.
Econ Technologies has released ChronoSync Express 1.3, an update to their entry-level version of ChronoSync for macOS.
The basic file synchronization, backup and scheduling capabilities found in ChronoSync are provided at a more affordable price ($ 24.99). Version 1.3 offers full support for Mojave macOS and adds several new features and improvements that mainly focus on the use of new operating system technologies such as Dark Mode.
ChronoSync Express works with macOS 10.10 or higher. Version 1.3 is a free update for registered users. A demo is available. ChronoSync Express along with over 100 other Apps as part of the Stapp subscription service.
Zevrix Solutions has released BatchOutput PDF 2.2.35, a feature update to the company's PDF printing automation solution for macOS.
The app prints PDFs from hot folders that are watched. Users need only drop PDFs into hot folders and the files are automatically printed using the assigned output settings. The app saves users a lot of time and effort to manually print PDF files. Version 2.2.35 allows users to fly print settings and add SoftwareKey licensing system integration.
BatchOutput PDF can be purchased from the Zevrix website for $24.95 ( a server version is available for $99.95), as well as from Mac App Store. The update is free for licensed users of version 2. A demo is available for download. BatchOutput PDF supports macOS 10.7-10.14.
Eltima Software has released FlexiHub 3.4, an update to their USB sharing tool for macOS.
The tool enables USB ports and devices connected to them to be redirected over the Internet so that multiple network users can access shared USB peripherals from their local computers. Version 3.4 offers new device filters and tokens for logging into the software account. All FlexiHub network connections are protected by 256-bit SSL encryption.
Pricing for FlexiHub 3.4 is based on a subscription plan. Depending on how many simultaneous connections you need, you can choose your own subscription plan. If you don't feel that you need to connect to remote USB peripherals, but just want to share devices attached to your computer, you can subscribe to a free FlexiShare plan.
